Short-term:

Actions: I applied and was accepted into the cohort, and I’ve successfully attended three sessions.
Roadblocks and actions to overcome them: Committing to the cohort requires significant time, and attendance is mandatory. I have integrated these commitments into my daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to ensure I can attend each session and complete any related work.
Alignment with org goals: The cohort utilizes resources such as Patrick Lencioni’s book, along with the “Working Genius” and “DISC” assessments, as focal points in many of the sessions. The results are then analyzed across different areas within the company to evaluate each area’s management style..
Goal Date of completion: December 2025
2. Achieve certification in leading impactful leadership courses.
Actions: I applied and I was thrilled to be accepted into the certification process in May.
Roadblocks and steps to overcome them: The training and certification process is rigorous and will require me to take on a facilitator role, which I haven’t done in quite some time. I will need to dedicate time to practice and seek feedback from my peers to improve how I present the material.
Alignment with org goals: Internal employee development is crucial to our company, and these courses play a significant role in our leadership development initiatives. Facilitating these courses will not only allow me to enhance my own skills but will also provide me the opportunity to support other leaders within the organization.

Long-term
- I am eager to secure a managerial position within our organization that leverages my experience and skills to drive success.
Actions: I have committed to my education both within the company through the Cultivating Leaders Cohort and externally with a master’s program at Bellevue.
Roadblocks and actions to overcome them: There are several challenges, including a limited number of managerial positions compared to the number of middle management staff seeking advancement. While I cannot control the availability of these positions, it is my responsibility to position myself as a strong candidate. To do this, I have worked hard to build relationships, demonstrate my value to the company by excelling in my current role, and seize every opportunity that comes my way..
Alignment with org goals: My company is committed to promoting from within, and I have successfully taken advantage of that so far. I also wish to continue growing within the company.

Strengths: One of my key strengths in my role is my ability to cultivate an engaging culture while maintaining a productive work environment. I believe it is essential for my team to enjoy their time at work, and I recognize that doing so enhances motivation and overall performance. I strive to strike a balance between a positive atmosphere and the demands of our workload. Additionally, my background in a different area of the company allows me to approach team management and success measurement from a unique perspective, which has proven to be valuable in our operations.
Opportunities: One area where I could improve is my practical experience in the claims business. I entered this role with no prior knowledge of claims, although I do have several years of management experience. I work alongside colleagues who have dedicated most of their careers to claims, which means I must put in extra effort to keep pace with them. I actively take steps to familiarize myself with the processes and procedures since I have not previously served as a claims processor.
